Murter is a community in the Šibenik-Knin County, 30 km
north of Šibenik, coverng
northern part of an island of the same name. 2,100 inhabitants,
most of them in the town of the same name. The territory of
community covers also the National Park of Kornati, the series of
beautiful islands off coast between Šibenik and Zadar.

Murter, 18.01.2001, Službeni vjesnik Šibensko-kninske
županije, br. 6/01, 12.06.2001. - The decision constitutes a
five-members commission to determine the community Coat of Arms
and the flag, to issue an invited concourse and to establish
jurry of experts to judge it and to present the decision towards
assembly. That was over five years ago, but it seems that
nothing came out of it yet..
