Neptun

Dampfschiffahrts-Gesellschaft "Neptun". Horizontally striped, blue-yellow. Formed in 1873 it became Sloman Neptun Schiffahrts-Aktiengesellschaft in 1973 after the Sloman Group bought a 75% holding. The flag was replaced by that of Sloman.

Neue Dampfer-Compagnie

[Neue Dampfer-Compagnie] image by Jorge Candeias, 7 Dec 2004

The flag itself is a red over white bicolour, charged with black capitals "NDC" across the center. The caption is quite blurred, but guessing a bit I can suggest that it
reads something in the lines of "Neu Dampf Co.". There's a third word there, but that's too blurred for my mental OCR-tracer.

Quite, see the image at No. 601 'Neue Dampfer-Compagnie, A.G., Stettin' (formerly Germany) at the on-line 1912 Lloyds Flags & Funnels.
According to this page the company, founded in 1855, received the 'NDC' name in 1862 (what was the original name, then??) and was again renamed in 1923,
becoming the 'Stettiner Dampfer-Compagnie A.G.'. It was active in the Baltic and the North Sea and even, regularly, in the Orient.
Starting 1924, there was close cooperation with the HAPAG and Roland Linie companies under the direction of the Deutsche Levant-Linie; firm liquidated end 1930. The share on this page shows the Stettin griffin's head (click to enlarge); possibly the 'NDC' flag had been changed, with the firm's name, in 1923.
(PS: another company named 'NDC', founded 1886, was engaged in local shipping at Kiel. The ships were nicknamed the 'Black Steamers'.).

Norddeutsche Hochseefischerei

[Norddeutsche Hochseefischerei] image by Jarig Bakker, 11 Nov 2003

I found this webpage with the flag of Norddeutsche Hochseefischerei AG: diagonally divided, top and bottom blue, hoist and fly red; in the center white shield with NDHAG.

Nordischer Bergungsverein

[Nordischer Bergungsverein] image by Jorge Candeias, 4 Jan 2005

The flag is a swallowtail, white wth a red border all around except in the hoist. The center of the flag (including the tails) contains a red cross whose arms intersect in a hollow (or in a white square). Above the cross, in arc, the sigla NBV pops up in black seriffed capitals. The caption isn't totally clear, but seems to me to read Noord Berg Verein.
Jorge Candeias, 4 Jan 2005

Must be Nordischer Bergungsverein, see offer by a rare book seller. So it's a towage company (seat: Hamburg).
Jan Mertens, 5 Jan 2005

Yes, but a picture says it much better... see the on-line 1912 Lloyds Flags & Funnels, No. 499.

Nordischer Bergungsverein - variant

[Nordischer Bergungsverein - variant] image by Jorge Candeias, 22 Jan 2005

Hum... some differences from my source. The cross is here made of 4 red squares around a white one and the cross is not centered in the whole flag. Instead, now it's only centered in a imaginary rectangle defined by the top, bottom and hoist limits of the white area and the center of the white swallowtail in the fly. Vertically, it's not centered at all: the cross is shifted to the bottom, but not enough so that the whole cross + sigla device becomes centered.
