Overview

The flag and coat of arms of the Municipality of Belica in Medjimurska county, Croatia, are presented at <www.medjimurje.com>.
Valentin Poposki, 20 August 2006

As Valentin noted, the local newspapers include the drawings of the flag and coat of arms of Belica. What Valentin failed to note is that these symbols have not yet been adopted, they are only proposals at this state, even though it is stated in the text that no obstruction for their adoption is expected.
The proposed coat of arms of Belica is: vert three potato flowers argent seeded or. Potato is among the most important of the agricultural products of Medimurje. The proposed flag is green with the coat of arms bordered yellow in the middle.
The symbols were determined by the community government and yet have to be adopted by the assembly, although reportedly "there are no issues about it".
