Kutjevo is a community in the Poega and Slavonija
County, some 20 km north-east of Pozega
on the southern slopes of the Krndija mountain. 7,500
inhabitants, 2,500 in the town of the same name. Kutjevo is
famous for the vine production and the vine cellars.
The coat of arms of Kutjevo, as shown on the County web site at
<www.pszupanija.hr>
is: azure a castle argent roofed gules with a circular tower
above the gates and a belfry in sinister and in the base a buch
of grapes slipped with two leaves or.
The castle is the Jesuit castle built in Kutjevo after the
liberation from the Turks in 1700 on the ruins of the former
Cistercit monastery. The bunch of grapes refers to the famous
cellars and the vine production.

On <www.uhddr.hr>
(the site of the war veterans association, quite unrelated except
that they had a meeting apparently in the premises of the
community) the flag is visible. The flag is drak blue with the
coat of arms bordered yellow set in the middle.
